The Big Open Chamber heads with the full size Oval Ports or the Rectangular ports are the best BBC heads
choice for this job. (low compression + lots of flow)
The L-29 Vortec BBC heads are not a bust on this.

Sorry F-Bird, you are out of your realm. The intake air temp will be through the roof(at least 240f) with no water to air intercooler and that small ass blower, and unless that corner in the chamber between the valves is addressed it will turn into a pre-ignition point.

Carry on

At 2.29:1 drive ratio the Weiand 177 inlet air is NOT THRU THE ROOF.
The boost is only about 6 psi @WOT on this combo.
The engine never exceeds 6200 rpm.
This has been done BEFORE its NOT Theory.
Yes very sharp edges should be smoothed in ANY combustion chamber.
This is a Mild BIG BLock Street/Marine Blower combo.

The OP has a Water/ Methanol injection system on hand.
The OP already is running the 177 blower on a sbc 383 very sucessfully.
I know my shit on this stuff.
The heads I like for this one are the 502 HO gen 6 BBC heads.. They are relative cheap.
This Allows a Off the Shelf bolt on 177 bbc blower intake manifold

The bbc vortec heads are not a deal killer. Juust not my first choice.

It will exceed 600 HP. Make a ton of street torque and never hurt the 454. On Premimum unleaded gas.
The hyd roller cam for this is right off the shelf and easy easy on the valvetrain.

The popular 454 Vortec heads are easy to sell off or trade off for the better Gen 6 502 HO heads.
(Square ports big combustion chambers big valves low compression ratio)
Sorry bud but this is my Realm.

I have 2 sets of those Gen VI sq. port heads but the L-29 heads are the real deal IMO. I am more than happy with them on my 1st outing, even if the short block went away.

See lots of deals on these.
The Square port gen 6 open chamber big valve hi perf heads are the BETTER cylinder head for this supercharged 454 gen 6.
These are my preference for this build.
Next would be the Gen 5 502 HO head
or a Mark IV 454 LS-6 rec port head.

The good news is there is a Weiand supercharger intake manifold for the BB with 177 blower in both square port
and oval port. The bad news is its not cheap if new.
Lots of used intakes for this BBC w177 blower combo.

The problem with the LS6 head is that the exhaust port is big, bigger than most other BBC heads, but in the Supercharged application I think they would work pretty well.

One detail on the (Casting # 12562934) 502 gen 6 heads is the accessory bolt hole size. 2 factory versions 3/8" and 7/16" accessory bolt holes... Something to be aware of.

Just wondering from a limited knowledge of BBC.....It's been said to use the smallest chamber
with the flatest top pistons for the fastest burn...Of course port design and forced induction is a whole nother factor....
A lot of high power boats around here...A 454 motorhome engine with stock internals , cam change a, 5 psi Rootes blower with aftermarket heads makes decent power and reliability
Motorcycle land speed racing... wearing animal hides and clinging to vibrating oily machines propelled by fire

An NA big block will make 600hp at 6000rpm easily.

Putting a 177 blower on a big block to make 600hp with is like throwing a 2bbl carb on a 383, and bragging about it making 250hp.
