Decent cylinder liner puller

Post by 1972ho »

https://www.ebay.com/itm/393399803458 I bought this puller from eBay and it worked decent enough to get the job done with easy.It was metric so I had grind down one of cylinder pads to make it work in my case but once it fit the my cylinder liner it pulled it out with ease. One bad part in it was the little ball bearing spacer between the handle and the cross beam were not to strong they fell out after enough torque was applied to them. But the liner came really easy.

I recently bought a hollow ram. Would work with that kit.
Excellent for pushing harmonic balancers on And pulling suspension bushes.

Tom, if i was starting over again with Porta power tooling, the only ram i would get would be the hollow ram cylinder, not a lot it can't do application to application.

Would have to say i haven't used the Porta power for years, it would be over thirty years since i pulled ram pins and heavy bearings,, probably glad of it as well.

Cheers.
