I've never used lash caps but have this job coming up where they might be required, just wondering if anyone else has had experience with them, any problems etc to report?

-I don't think guys like to use'm much anymore but I still see'm on several big chief engines I maintain.
-They have weight and if you are running high rpm people will nearly kill to get rid of that little weight.
-They are made either with a loose normal fit or you should be able to specify tight fit that may need a puller to jerk'm of the valve tips.

-2000 pintos with big cams used'm and the sides are relieved to center up inside the finger follower and we had problems with those and eliminated them from our engine.
-We use lash caps under the followers on Subarus in different thicknesses to adjust the valve lash and we hve no problems with those as long as they have clearance from the lash cap to the retainer and locks.
