First I have to say the video was GREAT! Just had a question. I have a couple of cars and one has an powerglide transmission where it shifts 1-2 away from neutral not towards it. Any ideas to make this work with a clean cut? You should not cut the power while still in gear right? Thanks for your time.

Reading Plugs: Clean cut with an automatic transmission?

Thanks for the nice comment on the video. You've got to get to neutral for a clean cut. Best idea is to change the valve body when you get a chance. You can still get a good read on the ignition timing and heat range. The clean cut is for jetting. Thanks, Don

reading spark plugs on the dyno is very easy
2 reasons=> 1) instant feedback with HP/Torque data
2)engine is cut clean immediately after dyno test..most times quicker than you would normally at DragStrip
so its very easy to read plugs, no guesswork

Dyno testing spark plugs
I think reading plugs on the dyno is really overlooked - you're not going to get a better opportunity to know what the plugs should look like for max power.
