Congratulations Maxracesoftware

Hey Larry, if Craig Bourgeois (AN/D) is still running your heads on that engine it went 6.892 at the divison Baytown Texas race today. I believe that's the first 6.80"s pass for a AN/D. Awesome job, that things making some serious power.

yes, Craig's still running my Heads, just put 16 new Valves in Heads
and redid the entire valve job, changed up the Intake valve job some more.

Craig's got a brand new Chassis/Dragster Frame this year,
and thats the 1st few Runs on the Dragster, so far its the best 60 Ft its run
-vs- the old Frame...might take awhile to sort it out ??

60 Ft= 1.007
330 Ft= 2.828
660 Ft= 4.378 - 158.69
1000 Ft= 5.729
1320 Ft= 6.892 - 191.40

this is a Computer Simulation run to see how close the Actual Run
correlates with the Computer
60= 1.0070 67.9287
330= 2.8280 128.5119
660= 4.3780 158.1129
1000= 5.7290 181.0648
1320= 6.8920 192.3871
Tire Friction Coeff= 3.0484
not too far off ??

i'd have to research it, but i think Dean Carter has run in 6.80's ??

Also did the Head porting on
Del Segura Now #10; F/D Index: 8.74, Prior Best: 8.146/160.58/-0.594
960 Lbs Dragster with 4 Cyl DOHC

Del's also has a new Engine Combo to sort out

Thanks a bunch Ron !!

Larry,

Yes, .. congrats on some nice work !!!

I'm VERY interested in the F/D and F/ED stuff, ..
can you tell us more about that combo???

I'd love to do a F/ED Mopar with the W9 rp head, .. but I can't find
a 4 cyl. drag race aluminum block Mopar had made.
I can find tons of sprint car blocks with no bell housing mount, ..

Thanks Don and Curtis

Del won the 1st round

128 CID 4 Cyl 4-valve DOHC engine
the rest of details i can't reveal

best time so far
60 Ft= 1.157
330 Ft= 3.313
660 Ft= 5.156 - 133.34
1000 Ft= 6.767
1320 Ft= 8.146 - 160.58 on Chip too early at top end and every gear

went 1.130 60 Ft so far

turning all that rotational inertia of what's considered a V8 5-speed trans
has to be hurting ET/MPH Times on a 4 Cylinder

Larry, I don't think Dean Carter has been in the 6.80"s. Some other Comp racers also commented that Bourgeois was the first pass into the 80's. Carter did hold the national record at....I believe 6.91. But that was a track altitude adjusted record. And I don't mean to take anything away from the Carter Team. That car hauls and they are very smart racers.

Also this weekend JD Zink in his AN/D went 6.932 @ 191.20 at Famosa (Bakersfield) on a marginal track and a little warm on the weather side. I think under the right conditions that car could also dip into the 6.80's.

Again Larry, great head work.
