Back in the late 70s and early 80s I used maybe 30 sets of the 292 fireball heads. We had no Dyno so no HP numbers but the engines ran as fast as anybody’s. I saw no reversion in the intake.
Back then at I70 race way, a 1/2 on the pole asphalt track, we raced against rusty Wallace, Mark Matin, Dick Trickle, Dick Senaker an occasionally the Allison brothers and other NASCAR drivers would come to good paying races.
Those cars and engines could run with any of them.
