Can the cam tunnel be machined out for a 55mm Cam?

Yes they can as we just machined a block last week for a 55MM cam core and we blue print bored the cam tunnel to 2.283 and used the GMP55-T babbit cam bearing or they could use a 50MM roller cam bearing in the same bore if needed.Speedster400 wrote:Can the cm unnel be machined out for a 55mm base circle?

are you wanting to go 55mm roller bearing? or 60mm babbit?
The answer is yes, but I have only done it in the .391" raised cam, and not the .434".
