Roll bar tube benders

Post by LilRacr »

How many guys are around that bend/fab all thier chassis parts, cages?

What tube benders are you guys using, for mild steel and Chrome moly tubing?

Where did you get them?

Thanks in advance!

Their bender has worked great on MS and CM Tubing. call them and they will suggest a dealer to you or sell you what you need.

Some catalog companies such as Speedway Motors will sell you a roll bar kit. If you ask them they will send you a catalog for free.

A true race chassis uses mandrel bent tubing =- not something bent on a muffler bender or one of them hyd tubing benders.

Anytime you kink the tubing - you put a weak spot in the bar. A mandrel pipe bender rolls the tubing around a mandrel - a die if you will, that gives it a exact shape without distorting the tubing.

A roll cage - race chassis is not something where you want to skimp on materials.

www.speedwaymotors.com I believe that Smileys also sells Roll Cage kits also. www.smileysracing.com
