That would all depend on where you race and what the rules state.

You just can't use what ever you please.

I don't have my rule book handy but I'm thinking that NHRA requires all wheels to be 16x16 bead locks. Good Years seem to be the tire of choice.

if your are talking about the 500" prostocks, they run the goodyear 1022 34.5x17x16 tire. since last year they are required to run a dbl beadlock rim. usually a 16x16. The mountain motor guys run both the goodyear and Hoosiers brand.
