Pheonix (Firestone) drag slicks.

They are good right down to the cord and stay consistant all the way to the end too :)

We used to run Goodyear but on Superstockers the tire would go away after 15-20 runs (Hemi Darts and Cudas) but with Pheonix they last at least 45 runs the key is to follow thier recomended burnout procedure

All of Barton's cars run Pheonix.

My experience with Phoenix is also good. I have run all the major brands but will be hanging with Phoenix. The set I have now is at 90 runs and is still dead on.

In fact, won Super Pro last Saturday!

Larry,
Have you taken a good look at the stands at the track?
They sure look like they came from my old I-20 track... The one I sold to Ken in 1977. I think I have cut grass around them quite a bit & picked up trash & cans under them. They sure have a nice track there. Adger

Adger,

I knew something seem familiar about those stands!

And I agree, Cherokee is a good setup. It's a 53 mile tow and my ol Crate Racer runs well there, all good things.

By tha way, what's Jim C up to these days?

It is kind of ironic the Stands & other parts of my Tyler I-20 track end up at Rusk & my old Whitehouse, Tx track stands, lights & guardrails end up @ Prescott AR. I guess old track parts make for good new tracks.
Jim is just working a bunch at the elect coop.. Saw him at a fuel stop on the way down to the track a couple of weeks ago.. He has been working to put his Chevy II back together.
Has been a slow go for him because Amanda had to have another pacemaker installed. They are both in good spirits & health, now. I'll tell him you ask.. Sure wish I had a spare car for him to drive.. Really enjoyed being crew chief for him when he drove my dragster after my accident. We were pretty successful too. Just another one of those good experiences in life.
