Slip Tube Hardtail Dragster Tuning

Hello everyone, I just bought a slip tube 93 Box Chassis dragster. This is our first dragster and I'm wondering what my options are as far as chassis tuning goes. Is weight distribution how you tune for more or less traction beyond the ignition system and tire pressure? The dragster has yet to go down the track but I'm just trying to get some feedback for when we get the motor and transmission into the car. Thanks!
