Ram Front End

Post by chimpvalet »

Hoping for advice on how to check whether the ball joints, etc on the front end of a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 are good as they should be. Drove my folks' Ram for an hour on the way to my go-to mechanic and thought it wandered a bit much, not all that easy to keep dead on track so asked my guy to look into the front end while there for A/C work. He has not found anything obviously loose and while I have high regard for him and his crew wonder whether anyone here can advise how best to check this out?
Thanks,

Steve

If it's a 4x4, check the track bar for loose bolts, bushings or egg shaped bracket holes. Something else I've seen the front bumper and brackets loosen which can cause the "death wobble".
