Building a new chassis for my sons mud drag truck. For the class we want to stay in we have to run stock style suspension. Leafs out back and coils up front. Coilovers not allowed. Need to revamp back section of frame. Going to use 2x3 square tube. What wall thickness would be sufficient? 1/8 - 3/16"? Need to raise frame rails approximately 8/10" to keep truck setting level. 44" tires rear and will have 38.5" tires up front. Will have full cage as well. Thanks cory

2x6 .125 wall thickness would be far stiffer in my opinion with little difference in weight

Use the cage as much as you can to stiffen and triangulate. Remember how much of the power delivery to the rear, ends at the front leaf eye. In the run under power, the car will want to stand up on the front eye and separate the rear.
The load on the rear eye when jumping and landing on the track, is shared with the front eye.

Thanks for the input everyone. As said, we have to run stock style suspension but we are allowed ladder bars in rear or front suspension. Just can't run coilovers. Ended up getting 2x4 tube .125 thick. For rear frame rails. And 6 sticks of 1.5 x .120 wall pipe for cage.
