If stock you will probably have to limit front end travel some, as the bump steer while fully extended can be hard to recover from when it comes down again.
Our car went 10.30s completely stock front with the linkage through the pan.

Now it has a Viking double adjustable coil overs, adjustable uppers and lowers, and a rack and pinion kit from Churchboys.
has greater front travel, sits lower and rides smoother.

Heim joint tie rods are permitted in Stock. Set the bump steer as you normally would for a drag car, using washers/spacers under the outer Heim joint to get bump steer as close to zero as possible.
"Travel limiters" are prohibited, so you can only use the shock to limit travel.

Post over on classracer.com and inquire for Eddie Rezac's bump steer kit. He was the master at eliminating bump steer on Chevy II's.

I don't have much information about Travel limiters.

Travel limiters are probably defined as straps and such. If the shocks are rebuildable you could make a space under the piston if the rules allow. Or order a shorter shaft.
