Mixed Bushing Types Upper Lower

Post by BOOT »

Ok so I got a budget project and gonna slap on some new a-arms on the FRONT. I plan to use rubber bushings for the upper control arms n the lower control arms come with poly. Common sense tells says to use the same bushing type But I know people have mixed them plenty. So basically I'm just curious as to what'll it'll do if anything. Use is not drag racing but might do some track stuff with it for fun maybe.

Since it'll be in a youtube video someday I already plan on having someone say OMG YOUR GONNA KILL YOURSELF AND EVERYBODY ELSE ON THE ROAD!!!

it might screw with your camber a little bit while cornering, but it should be fairly insignifigent. oh yah, you're gonna die and kill every one else on the road.

FWIW, in hard use, the upper A-arm bushings usually "perish" first. That's where the poly should go. Since you're going for cheap, do what you gotta do. I don't mind if you kill strangers.

I could be wrong but in my mind the lower arm takes the most load.So if I could only put poly bushings in one place the lower is were I would go.
