Post by GarlandPerformance »

Small tire ladder bar nitrous car with 98 inch wheel base
Getting ready to make new upper bars
Looking for recommendation for starting height to center of bolt to ground

The rotational upward lift of the ladderbar front eye, will be equally downward on the wheeliebar, how much, will depend on the bar length difference/multiplication and the squat characteristics needed to launch the car, which is depending on the car and track surface.

We've ran the wheelie bar more than 6inches up in the air on our car to try to make the bars barely touch the track at the hit.
We do not use the wheelie bar to increase wheel speed. We basically run no-prep, just inconsistent.
They are probably longer than most.

Here's a picture that shows how high it can get.

Same here. Ours just touch at launch. Made a grave mistake to raise further and almost lost the car. In the first picture Car came down not soft after hitting the bars. It was going for a ride!

To add to the others. Work out what clearance you need from the bottom of the wheel first, then translate that to a axle center height distance for rounds adjustments.
