I have an old Ford dualie van that I use as a tow vehicle.

I wonder if I can still get in on that overhaul deal from Ford.

Some thoughts as a I peer at this-

You would know you were being individually solicited. Very hands on.

This started as a blank penny postcard, probably obtained at the local post office, for a penny. Hand addressed to the recipient (could have been typed-but not personal-etiquette would almost demand the personal touch and respect of being hand written to Chester Bjorngaard) by only name and town. The postmaster in the town would know where it was ultimately supposed to go. Hand cancelled stamp. Individually typed out on a manual typewriter-not mass printed. As the recipient you would take the time to actually read and consider.

Lots of hands touched this on the way to Mr. Bjorngaard. This was no mass mailing......

Yeah back when honest people ran companies, and didn't rip others off.
And didn't mark up everything 100% or more.
Like safeway $4.00 for a little package of cookies that weren't on sale.
When they do a sale its $2.50, and they still make money at that.
Funny how I can go to Winco and get the same stuff safeway has for sometime half the price or so. Do I hear the word greed or rip off?
