Personally, I trust the opinions of the nurses who are on the battle front more than the talking heads, conspiracy spinners and politically driven govt officials..

I agree, but i had a different experience then you.
I have a blood disorder, and I have to go see a specialist(top specialist in the region) regularly, and from the Specialist, down to the receptionist, they say this Covid19 is way over-blown. They also believe the non-medical masks are almost useless, and all the government restrictions are just lengthening the pandemic. I have no idea, about any of it, but I know a little about curve generation, and if you flatten a curve, you also lengthen it. My only anecdotal information is that I personally know 8 people who caught covid19, and none of them where seriously ill. All said it was like having the flu, or bronchitis. All where about my age(mid 50's). Some in better shape, some in worse.

Personally, I don't worry about it, at all. I've taken 2 vacations to Mexico in the last 2 months, and will be taking another vacation to the Caribbean in 2 months. I wear a mask, and follow all safety protocols, because even if they don't help, they ease other's fears, and we can't fix the economy, if people are scared to go out in public.

Mike, where I live in NY state the virus Ihas made nearly zero impact in the county. The only persons we know are our 25 year old grandson who got it from his girlfriend that worked in a nursing home. They got sick for week, no hospitalization, and several months later they have some lingering effects.
Nearly everyone here wears a mask where required and practices distancing. No one makes a big deal about other than the usual sarcasm.
I have been tested seven times because it's required before the medical treatments...

We wouldn't have watched millions and millions of people dying if somebody would have taken care of Hitler, Stalin, as well as Mao, now would we?? How many Jews died?? Accept for controlling money, they never bothered anybody that I know of?

And I figure it is real funny that JFK bit the dust over probably him wanting to control the FED!!! Not the mass extermination of millions!

Paul, its not as simple as that. We (you and I) don't have the wisdom to make those decisions and take those actions. Some things are best left to G-d.

Regarding Hitler...... What would have happened if he had not survived the Great War? He very nearly didn't, you know. A British soldier had him in his sights and did not pull the trigger. He let him pass because he was wounded and unarmed and the Brit couldn't bring himself to shoot a wounded unarmed man......

FWIW...... I've read several accounts of this including an interview many years later following WWII where the Brit said that on reflection and hindsight being 20/20...... He wished he'd have pulled the trigger in 1918.

The world is full of what ifs...... What if Hitler hadn't caught syphilis from a hooker in Vienna in the early 1920s...... And hadn't begun losing his mind 10 - 15 years later just as he managed to get himself elected Chancellor of Germany and amass power?

Would someone else have done even worse than Hitler? There was a binary choice regarding who would control Germany in the late 1920s and early 1930s. It was either going to be the Nazis or the Bolsheviks (communists). Which would prove to be worse? What if the communists had taken over Germany instead? We saw what Stalin did. And Mao. And Pol Pot. And all the rest.

I'm just saying...... These things are not ours to decide. We are not G-d. We do not have the wisdom to know whether our actions would ultimately result in far worse for mankind, all things considered.

If you search long enough you will find so called evidence supporting many viewpoints of just about any historical fact...
Take Hitler and syphilis. His personal doctor during the war years was Theodor Morell who's specialty was syphilis. Morell interjected Hilter with a daily dose of many controversial drugs.Some of these drugs were opioids. Hilter was said to show signs of Parkinsons..Hitler was a strict vegetarian and certainly under extreme stress as the war went badly.....Read whatever suits your viewpoint and rant on...
