Thermal depolymerization

Post by pdq67 »

This what we should be doing with ALL of our garbage!!

I hope the link works?

RES/CWT Process.

If anybody is interested in this then have a nice read!

Oh, and garbage could have been gasified in all the obsolete Blast Furnaces that were scrapped years ago.

My word!!

NO COMMENTS???

Imho, this stuff is fascinating to me.

Of course I have been in many incinerators back when I worked for the old AP Green Refractories Co., Mexico, MO!

HAZ-Waste, (you think of it AND they burn it);
Hospital medical/infectious waste;
Dirt burners, (ie., contaminated soil like from old gas stations);
Old ammo;
and
Trash, (municipal solid waste)!!

I spent 3 weeks down there working the night shift 12 hours straight through.

Liked ta went nuts!!

I hate to say this, but I am glad Jack Kents got what he deserved, but WE really need HAZ-Waste Incinerators like this all over our Country!

Don't bury the shit, but burn it to make energy!!

If I had Gates and/or Soros's money, I would be all over this!!

How much does your trash pick-up cost you a month?

I would set up, "Campuses", that collected, recycled, incinerated, and produced trash to electric energy.

I think the Europeans are doing this already just fine??

Hell, Trash pic-up charges would pay for everything and as the old song by Dire Straights goes, "Money for nothing and the chicks are free!!"..

Put the campuses out in the boonies so there would be no social injustice shit involved and hire the BEST legal team and buy all the politians and Judges I needed to to get the job done..

None of this NIMBY crap!!

Hell, put people to work, and get rid of stuff permanently all while producing ENERGY!!

BUT I would do ALL this totally above board, not under the table crap at all..

There would be zero discharge, both air and water, and all bottom ash would be slagged into glass.

Of course to shut me down the fu*king EPA would put the glass slag water leach test so low that I couldn't pass it..

Then I would use the glass slag as feed stock and feed it into blast furnaces making liquid iron to make steel out of.

What did Kane say when his Banker told him that he was worth $80,000,000(?) or so and that he was losing a $Million a year?

Well, in that case I can lose money for 80 years!!

I love it!!

This is what I am talking about!

NOx, SOx, CO, and all the defunct CAMR rule heavy-metal stuff controlled using SOTA controls also.

Notice the so-called, "water-walled", incinerator.

I figure that it is really water-wall tube sheet like in a coal-fired power plant boiler only because it won't be fired as hot as say a water-walled cupola that is coke fired in the melt zone at something like up to maybe 4,000 degrees on full blow..

BTTT, but include recycle too.

But I do figure that if all the bottom ash is smelted in blast furnaces that what is in the bottom ash will be recycled because of the molten cast-iron making process.

PS., and you ain't lived until you plastic refractory gun a boiler flat flame burner to plug it suspended say 160' from the ceiling and 50' feet off the floor on window washing scaffolding! And the only way to get down was a 3/4" rope in the dark.

Been there, done that!

Just ran into this little ditty!!

"How Big Oil Misled The Public Into Believing Plastic Would Be Recycled"

Hope the link works?

Thermal depolymerization would handle this little problem.

Turn the waste plastic back into what it was made from and repeat!
