Oddball Wheel Placement Looks Factor

Post by BOOT »

Ok I bought a truck that had two 20's on front and two 15's on the rear, one rear blew-out and it came with a spare 20". I am not the biggest fan of huge wheels but it look ok on the truck until I lower it. So I bought a 4th 20" wheel on ebay that doesn't match, that way I can complete the wheels cheapest for now & look ok.

My question is as a matter of style since they are all 4 alum wheels with the same or close back spacing. Where would you put the oddball rim in your opinion??? It was cheap so you know it's ugly LOL

Here is the link the video for any who may be interested, it doesn't appear you can attach pics in this subforum or I'd also add one

Thanks

I think this is cruel to observers on the sidewalk in Michigan. If the truck is at a stoplight and they are immediately adjacent, it could be fatal. Steve Lehto could advise of any relevant Michigan liability laws. So, left rear.

It is understood that no-one will be passing him -- as a point of honor -- so when he is passing other vehicles -- in the high speed passing lane -- they will not see the odd-ball wheel and think any lesser thoughts of their vanquisher.

Best reply ever LOL!!!

On another forum the point was made that parking also should be considered, I'm leaning more towards the drivers side more so now LOL

Think I may be able to link the ebay ad for awhile even tho It's over/sold, so here is the wheel I bought. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NASCAR-N313-Gl ... 2749.l2649 Made him an offer of $50 and tax was $3 and the guy I got the truck from has the 4th tire, so min cost! I wanna get a set of 17's but that'll dpened on how well I get it running and driving 1st!

Not what I meant but good point, basically they said that if I park Buck on streets people walking by will see a matched set. But really that is a good point, I've never had large wheels to curb before not that the ones on Buck are in great condition LOL

:D Pick up wheels that result in 2 matching wheels (size and offset) for each axle. Keep the odd one(s) as spare(s).
