I have an Childs & Albert electric ring file. It is time for new rechargeable batteries. The batteries are Sanyo KR-1300SC 1.2V 1300mAh. Is their such a thing as a cross reference chart for all rechargeable batteries? I have searched with no luck.
Thanks for looking,

That's OK, thought I would get more traffic here.

The mAh being a higher number just means it will hold a charge longer, all that matters is matching the voltage and size.

Thank You for the above info and the site. That's what I'm looking for, the mAh ratings. I'm going to bookmark that site.

Re: Question about rechargeable batteries
Name brand cells like Sanyo and Panasonic usually have pretty accurate mAh ratings. Cheaper cells are more like air compressor horsepower . Look great on paper but really don't run for twice as long as the Sanyo will. My favorite site for cells is www.all-battery.com. I've used several of their AA and AAA NiMH cells, plus SC NiCd's to rebuild DeWalt 12V drill packs and some others. Quality seems consistent and ratings not too overblown, and their SC's come with and without tabs. Haven't looked at batteryguy but will check there next time just to compare.

Re: Question about rechargeable batteries
They're constantly improving batteries, so a new battery may have a higher mAh rating and be the same physical size.
This is a good thing.
For tabless batteries, scuff up the ends with a dremel and solder a dab of solder on them with your soldering gun before trying to solder on wires.

Re: Question about rechargeable batteries
I just to post an update. I got some batteries off e-bay. My soldering skills suck. But my ring file is up & running. The Be$t $ 7.00 $pent.
Thanks to all for the suggestions,
