Push to pass legislation to save our race cars this session

Post by Kevin Johnson »

FINAL PUSH—Tell Congress to Pass the RPM Act to Save Our Racecars This Year!

Time is running out—let’s finish the job now! Tell Congress to pass the RPM Act in 2020 and make clear that it is legal to convert street-vehicles into dedicated racecars. Your members of Congress could help enact this critical bill into law as the 2019-2020 legislative session nears a close—however, they need to hear from you right away!

Now more than ever, our message must be heard! Don’t wait—even if you already sent your lawmakers a letter in support of the RPM Act, they need to hear from you again as Congress decides which issues must be addressed in the final weeks of the session.

If we want to save racing, we need to do every thing in our power to keep the Democrats from winning the 2 Senate seats in GA. If you live in GA, it's not enough to just vote, you need to get everyone you know to vote for the 2 Republicans. Drive your neighbors to the polls. If they're allowing vote by mail, make sure everyone fills out their ballots, and send them in. Drop them off for them, if you can. If you don't live in GA, donate as much as you can to the 2 Republicans.

If the Democrats get control of the Senate, it's over for racing, and the aftermarket performance industry.
Just like they pushed through Obamacare, the last time they had complete control, they will rush to push trough some version of their "Green New Deal". That will kill this industry.

Well of course it is.
Most environmental laws are made to line someone's pockets.
Look at Tesla. They lose money, on every electric car they sell.
They make money on selling the transferable emissions credits from those electric cars, to other manufacturers who are producing high emissions cars.
The laws doesn't stop the car manufacturers from producing high emissions vehicles, it just requires them to subsidize low emissions vehicles.

I doubt that would matter to him as he has privilege. For them it's do as I say not as I do.

What Cam King says, Congress makes the laws. No matter what ,there will be changes and it will affect racing and street performance as it is now...
Motorcycle land speed racing... wearing animal hides and clinging to vibrating oily machines propelled by fire

BS, in 4 years nothing has happened yet positive on the RPM act, remember the Einstein quote about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? This issue has no linkage to the "Green New Deal". I would like to expound further, but suspect this different opinion in itself, is already ruffling feathers.

Here is a link for readers that actually care to read. That individual can decide for themselves whether there is any linkage.
