I have been trying to give time to allow this individual to make things right. I doubt that will happen. Long story short, I made arrangements to purchase two pair of new cylinder heads plus shipping. Attempted payment through PayPal. Kept having issues with purchasing item/service so he encouraged me to send money as a friend. (First sign of trouble, but I was such a trusting soul!)

Then the excuses begin. Heading out of town, will ship when I get back. UPS guy wouldn't accept because packages were too heavy. Reboxed them but will be a couple of days before I can get them to shipping center. They showed up back at his place marked undeliverable.

Has stopped responding to any requests for refund or questions by this time. Last contact said he would refund through PayPal. Still waiting.

I saved screenshots of all communication on my phone and am in the process of disputing the charges through my bank but I am sure that will take quite some time.

Should have listened to my gut early on with this one. No use crying over spilt milk but also did not want others to get hung up once I knew this guy was stringing me along.

If you paid with pay pal then there is still the insurance for not receiving goods and pay pal will or they should refund you
the amount you paid.
I am sure you have started a claim and escalated it by now if not you should do that anyway.
If you contact him using ebay then ebay has a record of you trying to make it right with the seller of get the money back from the seller. Either way ebay should be stepping in to help you out with the issue.

I did not purchase through eBay, so no help there. My bank is working on it through my commercial account. For now, I will let them do their job. If it does not go in my favor, I will pursue other options.

Thanks for the offer to contact him. I will let you know if that becomes necessary.

Too bad, I hope you get a refund.

The ebay friends payment is a big red flag. It’s the scammer method of working around the buyer protection. It’s not easy, but I know of people who’ve gotten their money back with a lot of persistence and effort.

By sending money to a friend versus as a payment for goods and services you have zero recourse, paypal nor your bank will succeed, I have been down that road with paypal. You essentially gave the guy money by sending it as a friend. I do hope you get closure on the deal, but I doubt PayPal can legally do anything if that is how payment was sent.

Go file a police report, dont even let him know its coming doubt he has anything for sale.
Bet you get your $ quick.

Too many are dirtbags today especially as times get tougher...had something very similar happen with a long time member of another forum. Got the purchase but the drama...all the guy had to do was be honest in the desription. lol
