I think you can forget much of the current stuff soon, that you know now, because of simple cheap leaps of technology, which are under way already. He takes out a lithium pack and replaces it, with something much smaller and lighter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P266pdT71tI

The same day I saw that video I saw a news story from a major University saying a simple doping of the same material with nitrogen increased the power of that material. by 2 orders of magnitude= 100 times.

Apply the same material from stem to stern, and it might not weigh 25-50 pounds. And all at extremely dirt cheap costs. It can create cheap energy in ways people can not even imagine.

This electric bike is very impressive from an engineering performance numbers standpoint. It is heavy at 500 pounds......... I ride bikes and they are not cars....The thrill is from the mechanics of the machine and how well the rider controls the shifting and so on...Take that away ... a bike becomes just another push the throttle and go.........
As for performance on the street...Currently they are about 20 gas engine production bikes cable of 10 second 1/4 mile times with an expert rider...About 5 of the 20 can dip into the high 9's. About 4 are 600 cc and run mid 10's.. All can exceed 150 MPH and some are near 200 MPH...None of these bikes cost more than $16,000..

I previously thought the same, but them I rode an electric bike.
It is the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever driven.
Not paying attention to the power-band and shifting allows the mind to focus on other things.
The near silence and lack of vibration reminded me of flying in a glider.
It's a different kind of pleasure.

I would like to ride something more powerful.

We all like different things...I don't ride long distance ...I ride for shorter periods and a bike takes me away from the real world with it's overwhelming mechanical presence. It's what my signature just below says....

I understand, my last bike was a CBR900RR.

This VW electric "Bad Boy" just smoked the 8 second record at Pikes Peak (Run what Ya Brung) in 7 minutes, 53 seconds! =D>

Not knocking the lightning but listening to the H2R grabbing gears does something to me the electrics can't.

If its all about having fun, know which way I'll swing!

"Worlds fastest production bike"???

So how fast is it? And you do realize that production bikes are all electronically limited to 186 mph, right?

The name of the bike incorporates the speed.
