For a lot of automobile power and engine enthusiasts this is sort of a telling piece of information about how much faster the EV's will enter the automobile market place. Daimler said they are ramping up EV offerings and production and that will change and increase their % of EV vehicles to as much as over 10% of their total vehicle production in 2020-2022.

Looks like EV vehicles are here to stay in a big way and pretty much all the major automotive manufacturers are committed to the future of EV.

I think this is one of the most incredible acceptance and influx of a radically new auto propulsion system in such a short time frame.

Its 20B Euros BTW - that's 23B USD. Plus another 10B Euro invested in developing 130 electric models.

Europe is moving very aggressively on emissions and electric are a big part of the plan.

You bet! VW just announced a 48 Billion (Euro?) to invest in new battery development and production as well as EV vehicle development.

The Electric Vehicle wave is about to break over the globe!

So just WHO is bank-rolling this little purchase?

Time to start hoarding a couple of old '60's and '70's beaters.

Oh, and btw, I have an electric pedal assist bike that I ride around town.....

A LEED electric front hub kit with a range of like 20 miles or so...

There's a free market out there.
The big auto makers are in a race. They spend a lot of money on crystal balls and the crystal balls are saying the auto makers that are slow to develop EV's will go broke.
