Every electric vehicle has a chance of blowing up spectacularly

Every electric vehicle has a chance of blowing up spectacularly when the battery malfunctions.

imagine if that Car was parked in your enclosed Garage at your Home ???
there would be nothing left of your Car or Home , and possibly deaths ,
especially if it happened at night while you slept !

Think about an electrochemical battery as an energy storage that resembles explosives or gunpowder in principle: They do not require any oxidiser to release all chemical energy. That is a fundamental difference between a full battery and full fuel tank.

the Repair Bill for an EV Battery reminds me
that is basically the same thing as buying a Printer

you can buy a Printer for the same or less $ Price as the Printer ink cartridges
and the Printer comes with a ink cartridges in the box

basically buy a new EV or replace it with a Gasoline Car for same $ Price it cost to replace the Battery

Again, total BS out of context numbers. Since GM no longer stocks a new Volt battery, the only source is a rebuilder and the dealership doesn't want to be in the middle, so they quote the ridiculous price to make the Volt owner go away. The rebuilder sells the battery for $5,000 but only a one year guarantee. Some like the Volt enough to put another $6k into it; some don't.
Result is many otherwise good Volts wind up scrap.

Hi

mulit story car parks not allowing electric cars in over here , due to this issue , its not made from steel or timber so when theres that sort of damage an insurance co wouldn't step up to a 20--30mil bill , and if you don't know ,putting htem out aint easy , they covered them in full foam , fulled it out a couple of hours later and she lit again they foamed it anagin , it was brought to a scrap yard some how and relit 5 days later , so the rule is they are put in a skip for 7 ays due to reliteing , [ defenitally saving the plannet ]
ferrys are not looking favourabley on them now
