New "Racesaver" 305 sprint cam

Post by CamKing »

The biggest issue with designing a cam for the RaceSaver 305 sprint car engine, is being able to design profiles that will move the power curve up, and stay out of valve float, due to the spring restriction.
According to the RaceSaver rules, you are restricted to a seat spring pressure of 90-120#, and an open pressure of 330-355#.
On the shorter tracks, with a top RPM of 7,200-7,400, our part# M74337-76349-106, has been a proven winner for a few years,
but on the larger tracks, where the RPM's hit over 7,600rpm, we have finally designed a cam with enough lobe area to move the usable power curve up to 7,600, and still be smooth enough to stay in control, with the low pressures of the RaceSaver spring rules.

This new design is our part# M76339-78356-108
