Cam Master
This is something that we have been working on since right after the New year. It is still very much a work in progress. This is just to give anyone that is interested a first look. This is a 14 day trail. Sorry but at this time there is no User Manual. There is some built in help, as you move the mouse over a field many will cause a window to open at the bottom and show you a small amount of information.

There seems to be a large number of views for the number of downloads. I am not sure what people were hoping to see. At this time there is no user manual for Cam Master. While there maybe a few formulas that are the same or very similar to TMC / Torque Master Cams most of Cam Master is different. TMC / Torque Master Cams work with a few inputs and tries to give you a combination of parts to use, while Cam Master works with your combination. Maybe a screen printout will help.

It was brought to my attention that the 0.0.17 14 day trail version has expired.
While 0.0.17 would do both hydraulic and solid lifter tappet cams. The above 14 day version was limited to only hydraulic cams. This 14 day version will do both hydraulic and solid tappet cams.
What is new.
1) Added logic for 4 valve per cylinder. This is still very early in the development cycle.
2) If you have our IOP / FLOW program, there is now an option to read that flow data into Cam Master.
3) When reading Flow Numbers from a "DYN" (Desktop Dyno) File. I will now also get bore, stroke, CR, number of cylinders and Set Max Lift to highest Intake Lift. If Forced Induction I will set Absolute PSI.
4) If you are located where you use a comma instead of a period for decimals this should now work correctly.
Any feedback is very welcome.

I have looked at the Cam Master program is hopes of getting insight into cam timing needs for my "Unique" 6cyl engine I use for tractor pulling. In any case I have some comments:
- Referencing the output that shows after running a calculation on the input page
- I assume the intake centerline is the same for N2O as for N/A?
- DRC & PSI are not listed for Solid tappets
- Solid tappet Exhaust duration is noted as being @ 0.006" (rather than 0.020"?)
- Their are two estimated power and torque levels listed at the end of the page - how to interpret?
- The bottom line shows two power levels - NA and ? (The data I loaded had no boost or N2O)
- Referencing the input page
- The input "Absolute PSI" is for Max Boost level or ???
- What is the best way to tune N2O off? Just ignore or ???
- Referencing the Hyd Lifter Data Sheet print out
- The exhaust valve lift at 25% should have the columns switched
- No reference to "Hydraulic" on the print out
- For both intake & exhaust, the lower lift (0.006"?) timing point is not noted.
- Peak torque values not listed for N2O or Supercharged outputs
- Referencing the Solid Lifter Data Sheet print out
- For both intake & exhaust, the lower lift (0.020"?) timing point is not noted.
- DCR, psi, torque & power outputs are not noted

I've been fiddling with this 14 day Cam Master download.
One question I have is how to disable the NO2 options. Jetting, peak RPM, etc.
Also, is the hydraulic tappet calculation including a roller or is it flat tappet?

One question I have is how to disable the NO2 options. Jetting, peak RPM, etc.

Look at you first output. The warning on the top of the output screen means that you have not adjusted the overlap and are generating a bad cam spec.

I'll explore this a little further in the next week or so.

Follow up.
So, in using an overlap entry of 72 when the overlap to use is suggested at 79.8, I get that error message as pointed out previously.
When changing the overlap entry to match the overlap to use, the duration increases (naturally) but is far greater than I would think reasonable for a 6250 RPM limit.
Further to that, the posted overlap value for the good cam spec is greater still at 82.
