That's a weird video, it's mostly about overlap and he keeps brining up LSA, then it's about intake closing in relation to compression and he fails to mention that and calls it LSA. Old mate obviously didn't need a low idle speed so he got away with his tight LSA, but the LSA he got was a resultant of what worked for him.
Good on him for looking after David, but this LSA obsession is a negative for all involved.

Uncle Tony (Garage) touched on overlap recently and claimed nobody talks about that.

I'm just about finished with Championship winning youtubers, they won Championships because they put their all into it, not because their way is the only way.
They're all singing different Hymns from the same prayer book. It's really disrespectful to 130 years of ice engineering.

Dunno, he brought up winning Championships (I've been involved in several Championships across several classes of racing) if you based an EMC challenge on LSA calculations you'd have to have a lot of luck on your side to pull a win.

I don't think so. D.V. and Terry Walters entered the race engine challenge a few years ago. 743 hp from 420 ci Chevy with untouched Dart heads. I did the intake work for that build.

That's the one Terry Walter's machined and built at his shop, that you did the intake on, and they used CNC'd Dart heads otb, just curious, what did David do on it? Nice job on the intake by the way.

The heads were stock from Dart. D.V. did the combination, Terry built it. I had input on carb spacers and how I did the intake.

They were CNC.'d from Dart. You can find the info on here, the details are there.
