Speedtalk Times out

Post by Dave Koehler »

Anyone else having trouble lately? Slow to load, change screens, times out?
It took several tries just to make this post.
Trying to decide if it is ST servers or something on my end though I have no trouble with other sites.

I haven't had any issues with posting or logging in, it may be your internet server, jmo

Always possible but I doubt the ISP has a bone to pick with ST. :)

Mine logs in first try in the morning, if it is not refreshed during the day it will time out, when i go to re log in it takes a number of try's.If i try to add a post it will drop out and ask to be re logged in again, to the point that i have to copy and paste my comments and re-post using the 'go back one page arrow' till it will allow the post to be displayed.
ST is the only site that does this.
Cheers.

Will have a look at the logs to see if something is acting up.
Always thank you for the notice.

Seen this mentioned before but never really had a problem ..... until last few days

Click on link, usually 'times out', click on the 'time out' notification and usually page opens, though not always

If it helps admin / maintenance ......

Out of the browsers I use FF seems the worst, whereas Brave, unusually, seems better at avoiding 'time outs'

Edit :

Definitely a problem with FF ..... still often timing out when you click the original page link, but often as not loading when clicking on the 'timed out' notification following

No expert but I'm not sure it's server overload

As said, once you get the 'timed out' page if you hit the 'try again' button the page loads almost immediately, most times, if it's of any help
