Any trend? seat angle - required spring pressure

Post by pastry_chef »

Has anyone observed a trend between valve seat angle and required spring pressures?

30 / 45/ 50 or other seat angles?

Thank you.

I have seen no trends in requiring more or less seat pressure, with different seat angles. Only thing I've seen, is that the steeper angle valve jobs don't last as long. It would be interesting to lower the seat pressure with the steeper angle, and see how it reacts.
