I’m a normally aspirated engine builder, about to step into the world of Supercharging. I’m developing the heads on a Yamaha V-Max 1700cc motorcycle. I believe I recall Darin Morgan saying you port the heads the same. The customer has mentioned he’s certain it will need larger exhaust ports and valves.
I can see how larger ports and valves will reduce pumping loss, boost pressure and frictional heat. But, otherwise, what would be the reason he feels this way? What’s the general consensus of the gurus on this forum?
