These are my pipes after a decent run, probably 300km no stops and at highway speed, total that weekend 750km or so all highway speed. No lead or additives, 98 octane fuel [your 95], no residue. Pipes look like this after every long run.
Cheers.

Re: Lead used to lube valve stems?
Leaded fuel is radically corrosive post combustion. Wearing out cylinder bores, iron exhaust guides, and all things related to the exhaust seem to be what it does best. A set of mild steel headers that have been run with leaded fuel look like they have been at the bottom of the ocean for a 100 years.
It makes cringe when you install old dyno headers, your hands turn rust red, it gets on your clothes, half the time you dump a spoonful of rust on your shoes. Stainless steels headers and bronze guides are must!
Raising octane is the other thing it does well.
