Studebaker Engine Parts Sources.

Post by Hrdlx62 »

Hello all. I am in the middle of a 259 Studebaker engine build. Where is a good source for internal engine parts for this engine. I've been looking online and through my usual sources and it seems the prices vary some. Any vendors better than others? Any to stay away from? I don't have a use for this engine as of yet but the plan is to put it in some type of traditional style hot rod, possibly sell it or just put it on a stand and look at it. I bought the engine complete about 15 years ago and tore it down, inspected it stalled at that point. Now its time to get back on the project and finish it. Thanks.

Do you want as close to stock as possible? All new parts or do you plan to reuse valves, springs, et al? A mild performance build with better valves, springs, pistons, cam?

http://www.studebakervendors.com/ is a general listing.

https://www.studebaker-intl.com probably has the most complete catalog

www.fairbornstudebaker.com has some performance parts

I can help with reground cams, lifters and some other hard parts.
