any 912 porsche gurus here

Post by jred »

Got a customer that's brought in his 67 912 Porsche engine to do, The only problem is he's lost or thrown away the crank flywheel connecting rods and cam for it.

So far I have been able to find everything except the cam,,

I have found some new cams at web cams and have talked to Jerry Cantrill at Schinder cams, but a lot of the cams are 240 plus at .050

I am trying to find out what the stock camshaft numbers are to compare too,

Any info or some body that has cam doctored a stock cam thanks for any help on this..

I have CamDr data for my porsche 356SC. However, it is measured at the cam and not at the valve.
Being a push rod engine, it has little value except for comparison purposes.

I would suggest that you contact
NeuTekcams.com

They have original cam blanks and finished cams as well.

Another source is Vic Skirmants. 356Enterprises.com
Vic knows these little four bangers as very few others do.
He may have a collection of used cams for the 912.
