Fan spacer

Post by rgalajda »

This question refers particularly to BBC with the long water pump when using a clutch fan. I have seen small block chevy 1.5 inch spacer OEM without a fan clutch . Can't remember any BBC with a fan spacer.
Will a fan spacer with a fan clutch cause harmonics/vibration leading to water pump bearing failure?

It is all about weight cantilevered of the front of the water pump.
