GMC sierra code 0342 and 0300 got me stumped
I have a 2003 gmc if keeps sending a code 0342 for cam sensore low input changed the cam sensor and crank sensor no better with cam sensor unplugged it should have 12v with key on to the red wire it only has 11.20 volts I rewired the 3 wires from the computer to the cam sensor still no better then I got a 0300 code one day for multiple misfire Can anyone give me tips on this 0342 code

Sounds like the electrical part of the system is ok. You probably have a mechanical issue. Reluctor ring damage, excessive cam endplay ect..

the cam sensor reluctor is part of the roller cam it can not slip or break its strange looking not like a normal square picket fence I cant see it being part of the problem but I was thinking mabey the timing chain is really loose and its going out of phase with the crank sensor???

I see this on ford products when the ignition coils or alternator are giving off excessive RF noise..
