Re: Plenum,2925?
I like to go slow with the Plenum roof rework so I use a 80 grit long type taper sanding roll in my veri speed grinder.
The tip of the sanding roll allows you to get into the roof to wall area better so you just don't end up kicking up the center of the roof like you get most times with just a Burr.
You will go thru 8 to 10 rolls doing this so have enough on hand!

This has been our experience as well. A 4 hole 2in super sucker is a huge pickup throughout the RPM.zums wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 12:56 pm There wont be anything "lazy" about that intake with that cube and rpm, if spacers are allowed get a max height allowed blended 4 hole that has the 7 degree taper, if not i would lay the eyebrows back in the plenum and radius the inner runner roofs toward the carb barrels, those intakes are good but need work

agree 100%- i have several intakes and several different spacers i have used on street/strip for the last 3-4 years and i always come back to HVH ss,i believe it gives a better fuel distribution as after a 1/4 mile pass the spark plugs always look more uniform, but i am partial to my Reher and Morrison tapered spacer with 4 hole sheer plateracinnut15xm wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 9:41 amThis has been our experience as well. 1'' HVH super sucker part # SS4150-1P
Bluestar- if you going to modify the carb base port entry transition for better line of sight i suggest
you do not piss around with the dividers to much, meaning dont remove material there only casting flash, some people make the divider sharp point at the top,i suggest not to do that.

On the dividers I know not to mess with them. From reading on here over the years I've seen a few intakes get ruined because of that. Youtube is a bad place, watching people butcher intakes is sad lol! I prefer to do as minimal work as possible without hacking on an intake.

Re: Plenum,2925?
blue star-
hers a few pictures of my super victor 2925,modified plenum, flange gasket is 1206 intake
sizes are without radius taken into account.
runner at the head 1206 gasket-1.3'' W x 2.2'' H
runner at the plenum 3.2'' H x 1.1'' W does vary runner to runner ,top to bottom.
plenum is very close to 3.8'' x 3.8'' at carb base
plenum height off floor 3.85'' to carb pad.
photos - note that the tapered spacer and the open spacer do not match they would require work.
hope this helps and maybe Tom (ZUMS) might comment as well.

Re: Plenum,2925?
Likely not going to touch the ports, the heads have a 1205 fel pro match currently. With the track being 3/8 mile dirt and likely a hooked up track most of the time I’m focusing on making as much mid range torque as possible. The cam will be advanced 4 degrees per MIke Jones recommendation, which I also think is part due to the rod length as well. Should I do more to the plenum?
Heads have just a 5 angle job and blend and according to the EQ sales director he say it would’ve been better with 1.94/1.50 valves but per Mike Jones suggestion I went to a 2.02/1.60 valve so it would breath up to the 6500-7000 rpm
