Re: Bench Data
Be interesting to test-glue in a turning vane down the centerline. In the stock elbows of a 1988 Firebird system I tested, they added ~ 4% each.

Re: Bench Data
Chad you stated those were too fast, what fps would you prefer to see in that area of the floor on a head that size ?

Re: Bench Data
Not sure I care as long as it's the same across and the SSR can handle it with shape or volume.

If anyone can get that air to bend around it would be Chad. I like the plenum mods.

OK, I spent way too much time trying to figure out in the last pic how what looked like chunks of foam rubber stuffed in the runners was really some sophisticated epoxy fill job. It finally clicked that it was foam, plugging the runners that were not being flowed.

On my Ipad I thought he filled the floor of all but one runner. It was a good thing I did not mention anything until I saw it on a full size computer screen. Yep, just foam. I am not going to admit I thought the epoxy thing also.FC-Pilot wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 5:32 pmOn my Ipad I thought he filled the floor of all but one runner. Re: Bench Data
I think that is excellent that you only lost 6% on the front. I am interested in the difference flow wise from front to back on the manifold. Thanks, Charlie

Re: Bench Data
Good flow// Excuse me if this has already been said////what made you decide to change to a different head casting?////Was the first set coming up short of flow goals?

Re: Bench Data
No, I just wanted to use my CNC 205cc head.
Basically I built a 13-1 (4.165x3.48) drag engine (VP113) with the same heads and a 260/268 w/.680 lift and I want to see what this does (same bore/stroke) on the same dyno with 11-1 (91 octane) and a 231/236 w/.580 lift.
Just trying to learn something!
Re: Bench Data
OK good go then.////////should have more than enough flow for the goal//should be easy to get there.

Re: Bench Data
I agree. I put LS 8mm valves in these heads and using a small dual roller spring.
I will need to dyno with a carb, which just saves the injector harness grief.
I will chassis dyno it, so I will have all the data I need.. I hope.
