If it was mine I would put a dual plane RPM intake on it to start off. I am pretty sure you would pick up a bunch in the 60 ft. Good luck It will get there.

What modifications have you made to the chassis and suspension if any? Do you have any form of traction bars .Do you have Frame connectors?What shocks are you using ,front and back ? Have you removed the front sway bar? Has any work been done to the chassis / suspension? These basic question need to be asked because very little info on the car has been given . If you need help in this area start another thread in that category .Dan

4.30 gears will work great. But 3.70 gears with th350 low gear and 4500 stall shouldn’t be lazy with 427 cubic inches. Start by locking the ignition timing out and advance the timing to 36*. Also sort the carburetor out and get it to run clean. The locked out timing will help you out. I promise!

7.65 @91 converts to 11.93 @ 112-115

This car is capable of much better.

It's what my 4200 lb. car with mild 421 runs. This car should be about 35-3600?
Clearly down on power, even if it's not leaving it should show more mph.
His engine should 100 hp more that mine.

Based on 3650# car weight. This engine in this should be hitting 100mph in the 1/8 the mile.
I am being conservative .

If it is 3650# and you cannot get the mph up to 97 mph
You probably need to yank the motor, tear it down and fix it.
Could be a trans/converter issue too.

The true weight w/driver and the basic health of the engine and trans needs to be verified.

This is a good question...did you build it? Not putting you down more or less asking if you know for sure it is 427 ci?

Yes pretty sure it is a 427. bought camaro with engine 6 months ago. have run 2 races but feel the engine does not produce the effect it should. But have had some minor problems along the way with leaks and electrical errors.
Have change oil and adjust valves. taken off the inntake and everything looks ok.
But know ignition and carburetor need adjustment. Am a little worried if there might be a bigger problem in the engine ....
