This engine would have made 550+ with tuning. Just made pulls to break in. However, 570 is NOT happening on this dyno. Maybe the one down the street, but not this one. We all know comparing dyno numbers is foolish. I just compare these number to the 20 other engines I've had on this dyno.steve cowan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 2:19 pmi was thinking along these lines as well and i seen 534 on the dyno paper,i thought it was ft/lbs,damn tricked myself again.Elroy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 2:28 pmWalk in the park. 500 tq is more of a challenge than the 500 horsies but neither should be much trouble at all for something with some effort thrown at it. There are out of the box heads that could get that done. I have a suspicion you are intentionally understating your goals because of the TPI///understandable but dynoed with single 4.//solid roller 379 with ported heads and manifold////570 plus or its broken.SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 1:12 pm String of 500hp and string of 500 torque, peaking at 6200ish
Yes, small solid roller
i am building a 4'' bore 383 at the moment with dart 180cc alloys
i was hoping for 550hp but now i am not sure....
Last month I had a 4.03 x 3.750 on this dyno with 10-5, 255/262 and .680 lift. Same carb and my import CNC 227 heads. Made 500@4900 and 553@6700 on 91 from the same pump I got fuel for my engine. Fuel, different carb, more vacuum pulled, and we found close to 600hp,
