440 ci ls engine timing chain

Post by sccagt1racer »

Im building a 440 ci ls engine 12.5 to compression brodex br7 heads with jessel shaft rockers. the open spring pressure is 610. using a comp cams solid 730 lift cam. max rpm 8000. I cant see the factory single roller timing chain being able to handle this kind of abuse. Would a cs 1175 rollmaster chain be the chain to use or is there a better choice. I know a jessel belt drive would be optimal but im not willing to drop 1600 for a chain.

If it where me I would glad purge my wallet of the 270 bucks needed to get a Comp Cams duel idler gear drive set up!
