195 or 210 profiler
From a money standpoint I think the as cast profiler head is what I want for a high rpm 331 chevy build. When I look at wallace racing it shows a pretty big size minimum cross section for 7800 rpm. I'm leaning torwards there 195 head and possibly needing to enlarge the pushrod pinch area. Is the 210 head to large considering all I want is most hp I can get at high rpm. I want to run a solid flat tappet cam so lift wont be quit as high as a solid roller and I'm leaning torward high compression and using E85 fuel.

The 210 will make more power at that rpm and past. Do you want max rpm of 7800 or peak power at 7800?Little Mouse wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 12:38 pm From a money standpoint I think the as cast profiler head is what I want for a high rpm 331 chevy build. IMO the 195cc is a better head. More material and better shape.
The pinch are is sized almost perfectly for what they flow. If you don't make them flow anymore, I'd leave it.

I'm either going to buy a C3 and try to lighten the hell out of it or what I really want to do is a 68 to 73 opel GT a lot more work to make the opel work right.

Alright mr speirs being as I wont be opening the valve to extremes would it be better to get the 2.05 valve in the 195 head. I'm thinking the extra area would out weigh any valve shrouding worries.SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 1:40 pm IMO the 195cc is a better head. More material and better shape.
