Burst panel for sheet metal intake

Post by LCP Motorsports »

Looking to put a burst panel on intake and wondering if the location where it is mounted will make a difference? Top Bottom Sides Back ? Not on the front as the fuel regulator and distributor are there. This is for a 500 inch drce2 motor.
Thanks

Good morning Chester. In these current times of uncertainty, on the light side maybe a little LOL. Tire on the left, tire on the right, and driver on the backside . On a serious note, can't say i have heard of this. I'm guessing maybe you have a sizeable Nitrous system ? Has this been done before, seems like a great idea to protect valuable parts. Mark H. :-k

This helps prevent any particular portion of the manifold from taking the brunt of the explosion.”
