Do you think they used Plastigage on the rod and main bearings as their final check?

Unbelievable! The block is made of artificial sapphire crystal... (Should stand up to crazy boost levels; now they just need a sapphire crystal turbo.) lol!

AFAIK, it costs quite a bit more than that to service an exotic like a Lambo or an exotic luxury like the Veyron. I think it's something like $20k - $25k for just an oil change on a Veyron. Nothing else. Lol.

ya the vayron and bigger lambos are up there , the point was on say a 50k car and 50k watch , i always say to customers , just cos you bought it at 5-6k the car when new was 50 or 110k and it has that running cost , that simple fact didn't change and this is what catches every one out , it still shocked me , and they quoted 2200 for the service is it wasn't maintained annually

...the old Ferrari V-12 used a Ford common-as-dirt oil filter. No idea what the new ones use, but I'm sure it's "different"; and enormously expensive.

On the Bugatti, there are SIXTEEN different drain plugs, in multiple different, hard to get to locations. Saw it on TV once. Very elaborate dry sump system with coolers. Have to take a lot of stuff off/apart.

Why it costs so much...

Enzo took a dim view of his customers. He thought of them as rubes that existed to fund his passion and obsession with racing. Since his death Ferrari has perfected that notion and the pricing of their parts reflects that.
