Test was done @ Madcap in Denver, the baro IS correct. Observed or in the room HP was 524 HP before the correction. Vapor pressure looks high to me though for Denver.
Racing a NA NHRA stocker should be mandatory before any posting.

I looked at that pressure and immediately assumed it has a reduced volume oil pump as part of the package. When you’re scrounging for every last hp.....

No...it does not have a reduced volume oil pump.rustbucket79 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:24 pmI looked at that pressure and immediately assumed it has a reduced volume oil pump as part of the package. When you’re scrounging for every last hp.....

These little 3" stroked engines need better valve springs than the -929 cam springs used in a stock Z-28 302 engine!
Of course they will blow up at 8,000 rpm using the stock springs. Float the valves and bang!

Re: 500 hp 283 engines.
Springs would only be the first parts to replace. The crank, block and heads were the only pieces in a '68 Z28 reliable at 8,000 RPM.

I've NEVER raced in a 5200 feet DA in Denver, 6900 one time.

Is that a dyno pan only?? With 3.5 quarts of oil in that pan the crank would not be splashing through any oil I would think, small oil filter is interesting as well.i am amazed of the rpm turned with that small carb but looks can be deceiving, thanks for sharing very impressive.

The pan is the one that's run on the car. If you look closely, you can see the tunnel that the drag link runs through.steve cowan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:27 pmIs that a dyno pan only?? Re: 500 hp 283 engines.
Yep can see that ,way cool
Also the spacer under carb is machined on angle, maybe a bit more to it than keeping carb level at ride height??
Plenum area and booster signal on the small secondary??

This is a Super Stock '94-'96 265. It's really impressive and has been in the top on the NHRA qualifying sheets many times.
