Part# 03A05C05: LS1, 55mm, 278/278@.050", .465"/.465" Lobe Lift, 110 LSA, Gun-drilled & Lightened
Part# 03A07C04: LS1, 60mm, 295/295@.050", .475"/.475" Lobe Lift, 114 LSA
We are offering 2 different Gen-5 LT1 "HardKore" Tool Steel cam cores.
Part# 05A05C02: Gen-5 LT1 w/VVT, 55mm, 275/275@.050", .420"/.420" Lobe Lift, 114 LSA, Gun-drilled & Lightened
Part# 06A05C02: G-5 LT1 Non-VVT 3-Bolt, 55mm, 275/275@.050", .420"/.420" Lobe Lift, 114 LSA, Gun-drilled & Lightened

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Hi Mike, awesome news. Can these LT's be had with a larger base circle for ~.360" lobes for hyd roller use? Are these all using the stock DI fuel pump lobe strategy or have you done any work with that. Thank you for your time and PM me with core prices.

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
The Base Circle would clean up at 1.380"
If you wanted 10 or more, we could rough them in with a .360" Lobe, on any LSA.
The Fuel Pump lobe is roughed oversize, so it can be ground to different shapes. We could also machine it round, and grind them to whatever you want.

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Thank You for the prompt reply, I have a 5.3 DI and a 6.2 DI that are ready to dyno once I decide on some cam profiles to test with. Great timing that you have cores, that is the struggle. Your cores look great for off road or drag, I am interested for street performance hyd roller use. Thanks again.

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Tool Steel may be a little "Overkill" for street performance, but they will outlast any production core. Being thru-hardened is also really nice for testing, because you can have them reground multiple times, and never worry about grinding through the heat treat.In-Tech wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 9:43 pm Thank You for the prompt reply, I have a 5.3 DI and a 6.2 DI that are ready to dyno once I decide on some cam profiles to test with. Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Yes, thank you. This has updated my priority time. Since your are doing round core stuff, do you have anything in the works so we can use LT heads on a LS block?

We weren't planning on it, but if you need more then one, we could make them, with our next run of LS cores.

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Thanks Mike,
My plan right now is do some development using the DI engines I have, then take that to the earlier stuff since L83 heads are still cheap. The lying flow bench says the L83's are not worth the effort. I think I posted some cutaways of those heads here somewhere. The first head I saw was on the band saw in minutes
When you say more than one, does that mean maybe 2, or 10?

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
Sounds great Mike, 5 at a time will definitely help for now. I am doing some bs "regrinds" on the LT's development right now and of course they will not live but I think they will make it through some dyno time. I will have more answers to what I really want after that. Thank You very much for your time.

Re: LSx and Gen-5 LT1 Tool Steel cam cores
I notice some are rifle drilled, can you pm me a price difference? I'm getting ready to do a 430" LS3 type for an off road race truck and will be hyd roller(mainly 'cuz you can't get the valve covers off with all the bars in the way) limited to ~7200rpm because dry sump not allowed. I think a std core would be fine but I always like to overbuild.
