I guess it is a good promo for a Youtube video, but the if guy really blew up his car because of a battery problem, he is just dumb. I have never worked on a Tesla, but have messed with a few Prius Hybrids. And all the battery pack is made up of small individual cells. Only a few bad cells will cause the Computer to set codes and shut the car down. They are worried about a fire I guess. Manufacturers what to sell you a complete new battery pack, but usually only a few cells are bad, and you can take apart the pack replace a few cells and be back on the road. Every bad pack I have seen are a few bad cells in the middle, the ones that get the least cooling. On a Prius you can buy bad batteries at salvage yards cheap, take them apart test the cells and build a reman pack fairly cheaply. You just have to have some common sense, and understand the safety precautions needed so you don't get electrocuted.

That Tesla was wrecked in USA, imported to Baltics , repaired cheaply, sold to this finnish guy. There was nothing wrong with the batteries , Tesla just didnt want to do any repairs to that car without changing the battery to original, over 20000€.rebelrouser wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 6:19 pm I guess it is a good promo for a Youtube video, but the if guy really blew up his car because of a battery problem, he is just dumb. Some electric fail was repaired at some unofficial garage and that car worked fine after that, but he still decided to blow it like he had said at official Tesla garage. Propably sold lots of parts of it to get the same he had paid for the whole car.
