Damn. That disappearing edit feature can be embarrassing at times.

I recently had some Sealed-Power std HF lifters for a Chevy (817’s) in the shop........ “Made in China” on the boxes.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

I'm sure this will ruffle a few feathers but with the thousands of Morel lifters I've sold to customers, only two sets were sent back for issues. The first set was a street set and the second was a high RPM set. Turns out both were due to installation error. Link bar was installed towards the block so the rivet was damaged and the other set was loaded with RTV...

.... Awaiting the wraith of the haters. 8)
"Quality" is like buying oats. You can pay a fair price for it and get some good quality oats,
or you can get it a hell of a lot cheaper, when it's already been through the horse.

This past week, I just read about another "out of country" manufacturer.

What can anybody tell me about "Riosulense" ???

Check the link-bar rollers, too. We found part of a set (no name) in which the rivit staking was barely visible and the rivit could be pushed out by hand. One popped loose on the dyno which led to this post. Now I really don't trust anyone! (Well, maybe Mike at Bullet.....)

I think most of the complaints are how noisy they are, not the lifter itself.

Does this apply only to the solid race lifters or their hydraulic street lifters?

Needless to say no more Hyd VW lifters since.
If someone is not ordering in quantity they are just reboxing or an in-house rebuild programme
Is anyone hand tweeking lifters these days?
I have Redline reface my old school lifters, I buy up every hyd/solid vintage Chevy lifter I can get my hands on.
Racing a NA NHRA stocker should be mandatory before any posting.

We had a BBM on the dyno yesterday.
Used OE block, stock lifter bores, HR cam.
It got the new Comp Evolution lifters.

Quieter operation than previous BBM HR builds using other lifters, and no signs of valvetrain stability issues thru 6300rpm(as high as it was taken).

Driven BR 40 oil.

I was pretty happy with them.

Any indication of where they're manufactured?
