i'm working on releasing my new software "ET_Analyst for DragRacers "
been running a ton of simulations of various NHRA Class Cars / MotorCycles , etc to see correlations
after doing same type testing with a bunch of ProStock Cars ,
ET_Analyst for DragRacers was accurate + sensitive enough to pickup that in some Dragstrip Runs
that parts of the Car's body was tripping the Clock Timers prematurely,
and this was happening with some Teams more than others ... and on most , that never happened !
other times , it was consistently the Right Lane or it was the Left Lane , depends on the Track .
..... so far , those problems only show up on ProStock Cars ,.... no other Class Cars its showing up on !!!
ETA is calculating ET and MPH every 4 inches down the DragStrip
and just 0.001 difference change in ET incrementals can be a large change in HP ( causing a false HP change from Body tripping Clocks ) ,
... thats something you cannot see or tell from looking or comparing ET Slips ET and MPH between Runs or Competitor's Runs
Also ET_Analyst for DragRacers was sensitive enough to pickup about the newer Ram-Air location :
"Ram-Air HoodScoop on the Hood higher up in colder Air -vs-
newer location Air Intake on the Ground at much hotter temperatures off the Track surface"
i had just noticed that effect in my software that Day ,
then a few hours later watched this Video on YouTube and heard Jon Kaase on Hidden Horsepower from the Engine Performance Expo
great coincidence !
